Duel monitor setup vs. Z- out

Customers with a dual monitor configuration - if you run the Z out and drag it to the right monitor and close the Z out on the right side of the screen, then open the Z out on any other machine on the network with a single screen config it will "fly" off the screen to the right and off the screen. if you go back to the dual config machine and move the screen back to the left side of the screen and close, then it opens on any machine on the network correctly with a single screen.

fwd: Gift Cards INVALID AMOUNT 211

Not a Retail Pro issue: If you receive that message when trying to tender funds onto a gift card, the issue is a self-imposed dollar amount restriction that each client setups up with Paymentech. That restriction can only be changed by the client contacting their Paymentech rep.

security switch flawed

Warning: RTI added a new security option however, for the first time they added an option that TAKES AWAY your rights if you check it. Every single other security option GIVES YOU your rights when you check it.

Also it defaults to being on so it screws people up when they upgrade if the tech/trainer forgets to uncheck it granting rights.

Loyalty Points

Customers don't get loyalty points when they record a sale on a Special Order.
However, when listing the Sales Order on a new receipt and going to Sales Order Items>Sell Due, then updating the receipt, the customer receives their loyalty points and doesn't cause the access violation.

Free up space

From BHD Tech Derek - If you are helping someone free up space on the c: drive, it frees up more space to actually move the virtual memory off c: than it does to shrink the size. I just got off the phone with a client who was helped a few months ago, but instead of moving the file, we just shrank the size by 500 MB. By moving the file altogether it freed up 3 gigs
